Medallions are trophies from bosses that strengthen you in different ways. Medallions in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1:
- Wanderer’s Medallioncame in Shogun XGrants infinite stamina and invisibility while sprinting.
- Locket of the Night Rosecame in Night rosecauses your weapon to reload on its own
Medallions do not take up inventory space because they have a separate slot in your bag (just like gold).
To get the medallion you need eliminate the boss NPC holding it. When you get close to them, a large health bar for the corresponding boss will appear at the top of the screen.
Unlike other NPCs who are fairly easy to drop off and immediately destroy, these NPCs all have respawning lackeys that will start shooting at you as soon as they see you. However, it may be easier to search the named locations and then go after the medallion.
Luckily, the NPCs shoot like Star Wars stormtroopers (meaning they have very poor aim), so you don’t have to worry about that. too much about lackeys. Focus on the boss with a decent weapon and you can get the medallion. Note that the boss replenishes his shield frequently, making him an annoying target.
If you see an orange or gold circle on the map, it means that a nearby player also has a medallion. You can eliminate this player to take his medallion.

You can see medallions (or bosses carrying medallions) on the map, and they are found in the following locations:
- Night rose has a specific place in the Demon Dojo.
- Shogun X At first appears randomly throughout the island. You will need to find the icon for his mask on the map.
For Night Rose in the Demon Dojo, Beware of the ghostly Shadow of the Night Rose, a ghost that will harass you but isn’t actually a boss.
Her fight is a multi-stage boss fight against both Night Rose and her flying oni puppeteer head. First you need to enter the circle where she is waiting – you won’t be able to deal any damage until she attacks you. Defeat her while she’s running and you can turn your attention to the floating head. Shoot his glowing red eyes.
This will reset the phases – keep repeating the process of defeating her and then attacking the glowing oni eyes until she drops Locket of the Night Rose and she Night Rose Veiled Precision submachine gun.

For Shogun X, who first randomly appears on the island. (you will need to find the icon for his oni mask on the map), please know that this is not the final form. Randomly (re)respawning Shogun X only leaves a random mythic weapon and not a medallion, while the final boss version allows you to survive to fourth thunderstorm circle.
At this moment Shogun Arena will appear in a random location – first as a red rift icon, and then as a red Oni mask icon (once the player gets close enough).
Defeating Shogun X here will reward you with Wanderer’s Medallion And Fire Oni Shogun Mask X.
