- Pokémon Go now allows you to join raids from your friends list
- If you are with someone in Big Friends or higher, you can easily go on a raid.
- And if you don’t want to play with others, just refuse!
It’s a slow news day here at Pocket Gamer Towers. This is not surprising as we are approaching the end of the year and many developers and publishers are wrapping up work for the Christmas holidays. But if you’ve been hoping to play Pokémon Go during the holidays, especially with the many events coming up, you’ll be excited about this latest change!
Niantic has made a fairly minor but noticeable change that allows you to go to your friends list and easily see if they’re in a raid, what boss they’re facing, and even go help them without the need for an invite!
Again, a small change, but now if you are great friends or have a higher level of friendship with another player, it will be much easier for you to join in and give them a helping hand. And don’t worry, because if you prefer to go it alone, you can opt out of this feature by simply switching in the settings.
Go your own way
You can read the full details of this change on the official Pokémon Go blog. In short, this is a pretty fundamental change, but I’m willing to bet it’s been around for a while. The ability to participate in raids or other in-game events that involve your friends is a fairly basic modification, but it does indicate that Niantic seems to be becoming a little more open to player feedback.
