New Brawl Stars Collaboration with Pixar’s Toy Story Franchise
- Brawl Stars is teaming up with Toy Story, the iconic Pixar film series.
- Included are new costumes themed after the franchise’s characters.
- Meanwhile, a new (temporary) brawler appears in the form of Buzz Lightyear.
It seemed that once Supercell began to lean towards a collaboration, perhaps with footballer Erling Haaland, they would inevitably throw themselves into it full steam ahead. And the latest Supercell property to hit the crossover bat is a big deal: Toy Story is coming to Brawl Stars!
Even if you didn’t grow up with them (or have kids who watched them obsessively), you’re likely familiar with Pixar’s Toy Story. The famous animated film franchise has been around for many years and still holds an iconic position as one of the first full-length 3D animated films.
The arrival of Toy Story in Brawl Stars will bring with it new cosmetic items: Colt Woody, Bo Bibi Bibi, Jessie Jessie and Serge Lightyear. Speaking of Lightyear, Buzz himself makes his debut today and will be available to play from December 12th to February 4th!
BUZZ LIGHTER
Buzz himself will be a limited-time release and won’t be playable in ranked play, but he does boast a powerful skill set. Whether it’s hitting your opponents with your laser or (finally) being able to fly into battle. It debuts as the first unlockable reward in the Fight Day calendar, itself a small addition for the holiday period.
You can find out all the details about the Toy Story x Brawl Stars collaboration on the official Supercell blog. But I think overall it’s as simple as it gets. Interestingly, this paints a strange picture of Brawl Stars’ target audience. Toy Story is certainly popular with kids, but I doubt you’ll find anyone over 20 who hasn’t watched at least one of them.
It’s a win-win scenario that will appeal to both young players and nostalgic older brawlers. It’s no surprise that Supercell is involved in a joint collaboration if everything can be so mutually beneficial.
And while you’re here, may we humbly suggest you take a look at our list of the best Brawl Stars brawlers, ranked, before you jump in?
