The Nightreign online test for the Elden Ring co-op spin-off has been announced, and you’ll be able to sign up for it soon
The Elden Ring team will be conducting an online test of their upcoming co-op spin-off Nightreign.
The test itself will take place in February and will serve as a “pre-test” for a few selected testers. As you’d expect, those who manage to secure a spot in the online test will be able to play part of the game before it launches.
I know a lot of people who can’t wait to try this (ahem, Ed).
“Various technical checks for online systems will be verified through large-scale network stress tests,” the Elden Ring: Nightreign information page states.
Those wishing to take part in the upcoming network test will be able to register from January 10th. According to the online test webpage, it will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
“Take heart, Nightwalkers,” the Elden Ring team wrote on social media.

As Ed revealed last night, players heading into Elden Ring: Nightreign upon its release will have to “survive a three-day cycle, making split decisions about combat and exploration across rotating maps, in order to become powerful enough to defeat terrifying bosses.” at the end of each day.”
Players will return to the Round Table, but the game will take place in a parallel Elden Ring universe. Nightreign’s debut will give players a choice of eight characters, and the map will shrink in size each night. And, of course, there will be many enemies to fight.
“Each session will conclude on the third night, when they will have to fight the chosen Night Lord,” reads the official blurb for the spin-off. “Individuals may fight alone in the night, but strength comes in numbers. The Nightwalkers must learn to work together to meet these challenges, combining their unique abilities together to create an unprecedented experience in the Elden Ring universe.
“For those who fail, all is not lost; “failed runs will give players relics that will allow them to customize and upgrade their characters to suit their personal playstyle.”
Last week, FromSoftware boss Hidetaki Miyazaki said that Elden Ring 2 is not in development. However, this standalone spin-off still expands the franchise, and comes shortly after Elden Ring’s widely praised Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
