World of Tanks Blitz goes into real life with a huge graffiti-covered tank on a promotional journey

World of Tanks Blitz hits the road in a very interesting way; as Wargaming sends a specially graffitied real-life tank on a tour of the United States. Arriving in Los Angeles just in time for The Game Awards, the tank was created to promote Deadmau5’s recent collaboration event.
And yes, before you ask it is fully legal for outdoor use and taken out of service. So there’s no need to worry about Wargaming employees or iconic electronic music DJs going rogue. However, if you were lucky enough to photograph it crossing the country, you probably noticed the brightly graffitied body.
For those of you who didn’t already know, the exclusive collaboration between Deadmau5 and World of Tanks Blitz is actually available. You will have the opportunity to purchase an exclusive Mau5 tank, which boasts a magnificent set of lights, speakers and music. In the meantime, there are themed quests available, as well as exclusive camos and cosmetics that can be obtained.

I’ll admit, for my part, I think there’s something inherently humorous about the World of Tanks mobile spin-off completely embracing the whole gamification aspect. Although, no doubt, someone somewhere on an amateur military simulation server is sitting and getting annoyed by the latest stupid addition to their favorite tank battle.
For my part, I think it’s a fun but ultimately harmless activity. I mean, let’s be honest, they’re not the first to do this, as Wargaming lost out to everyone, including the breweries. But at the same time, for those of us who like a little heavy metal, the sight of one of these tanks roaming around our neighborhood is sure to brighten up a dark winter.
