Marvel Snap begins a new reign of terror with a season of “Dark Avengers”
- Marvel Snap goes evil in new Dark Avengers season
- Norman Osborn’s gang of villains are masquerading as the heroes we all know and love.
- Grab Iron Patriot, Hand of Victoria, Bullseye, Moonstone, and Ares to complete your roster.
Well, big things are happening at Marvel Snap this year. How big? Well, what about replacing the big Avengers type? Yes, the guys from this card battle decided to side with the villains and introduced a set of new cards based on the Dark Reign period in Marvel history.
For those who don’t know, Dark Reign was a comic book storyline that took place right after the famous Civil War arc. In it, everyone’s favorite glider-flying madman Norman Osborn took control of the remnants of S.H.I.E.L.D. (renaming it HAMMER) and formed his own version of the Avengers, with villainous characters masquerading as the heroes we all know and love.
This season, you can see Norma Osborn as the flag-draped Iron Patriot, Victoria Hand’s second-in-command (January 7), top gun Bullseye (January 21), and therapist-turned-villain Moonstone (January 7). 14th) and the most powerful Ares (January 28), careful not to tear it if you put it next to the Sentinel). You can even play them in the new Asgard Besieged location, which shows Thor’s home being attacked by the earthly forces of Midgard.
The shadow grows
Fans will get a kick out of seeing some famous and seemingly forgotten faces return to Marvel Snap. For the rest of us, diversity in ability would certainly be welcome. For example, Hand of Victoria increases the power of cards created in your hand by 2, and Norman Osborn receives a random card worth 4, 5, or 6 when played. If by your next turn you win at the spot where it is placed, this card will have a cost of -4, allowing you to double your win.
As for what else is on offer, you’ll be able to get a new card for Daken that features him masquerading as his father, Wolverine, as well as plenty of other cosmetics to show off his evil devotion. And that’s not to mention the debut of Marvel Rivals favorite(?) Galacta, who will be joining the cast this season!
