Novel Rogue opens pre-registration for card-based JRPG roguelike for Android
- Discover enchanted tomes with different combat systems.
- Beautiful pixel graphics
- Customizable deck for turn-based battles
Kemco has opened pre-registration for Novel Rogue, the studio’s latest card-based JRPG for Android and Steam. In this beautiful pixel art adventure, you, as the young apprentice of the Portal Witch, will wave your wand and start working magic. As you learn more about the magical world around you, you will also discover enchanted volumes in the Ancient Library, each with many adventures in store for you.
In Novel Rogue, you can expect to build your deck through turn-based combat, with unexpected roguelike elements that spice up the gameplay as you progress.
The four volumes also offer four systems, so it’s up to you to configure your deck to unleash the powerful magic that best suits your playstyle. Pixel graphics add a nostalgic charm to it all.
Now, as is typical for these types of Kemco RPGs, there is a free and premium version to choose from. The latter is free to play with ads that can be removed with a single purchase, and the latter includes 150 bonus Witchstones on top of being ad-free. Pick your poison because your data cannot be transferred from one version to another.
It’s an interesting monetization model that seems to be working well for Kemco, but at the same time, are you looking at similar avenues? Why not take a look at our list of the best JRPGs for Android to fill you up while you wait?
