In Sniper Elite 4, you take on the role of an elite special forces sniper named Karl Fairbairn, fighting in pre-invasion Italy during World War II. As in many other installments in the series, you will not only kill top Nazi officials and sabotage their war effort, but also dismantle a secret weapons project that could prolong the war for years.

Like other games in the series, Sniper Elite 4 boasts a huge variety of weapons, gadgets and more with which you can destroy your enemies. Whether it’s your handy sniper rifle, submachine guns, or pistols, you’ll sneak and fight your way through heavily guarded enemy territory while using the signature X-ray camera to view your work.

It appears that Apple’s attempt to promote bigger and better releases of its new, more powerful devices was more than just a promotional tactic. Now Rebellion joins the likes of Capcom in bringing relatively recent games from popular franchises to iOS that take advantage of the new capabilities of the latest generation iPhone and iPad.

In terms of quality, Rebellion seems to be hoping that near-console quality graphics and redesigned controls will be enough to win over fans. The universal purchasing feature, which means you can play on iPhone, iPad, and Mac for a single fee, is sure to be a great selling point, and MetalFX’s scaling hopes to encourage precise optimization.
