The PXN P5 is the latest attempt at creating a truly versatile gaming controller.
- The PXN P5 is the company’s latest development in the field of universal controller.
- It boasts all sorts of high-tech gubbins and is compatible with everything from consoles to cars.
- But will it be what people need or want?
When it comes to controllers, I think mobile devices still don’t get as much attention as they deserve. After all, it’s one of the biggest gaming platforms, but aside from adaptable stick-on controllers, we’ve rarely seen much innovation. Especially in terms of cross compatibility, which seems to be Bluetooth or nothing. This is not the case with the PXN P5 controller, at least according to the manufacturer.
The P5 is positioned not only as a controller for console and PC, but also as a controller for everything from the Nintendo Switch to car systems and, of course, mobile devices! Featuring all the buzzwords like dual magnetic Hall effect joysticks (whatever that is), it also boasts adaptable triggers whose sensitivity can be manually adjusted to suit your preferred playstyle.
The P5 will be available through PXN and Amazon with a retail price of £29.99. It will be compatible with: PC, Mac, iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, Android TV and Tesla.
Versatility
The quantity of PXN from our side is not entirely known, that is of course, not to mention the quality of their products. But the situation with controllers cross-compatible with mobile devices is complex, even if, in my opinion, controllers made exclusively for smartphones are a bit lacking.
At the same time, I’m unlikely to complain that there are more opportunities. In fact, I think the only thing that confuses me about this device is the fact that it is cross-compatible with Tesla of all things. I guess there must be a group of fairly avid gamers for this to happen, huh?
At the same time, if it gets you very interested in gaming, streaming may be what you’re looking for. And if so, you might want to check out our review of the Wavo POD Streamer Set to see what we think of this simple setup kit!
