PowerWash Sim disables VR support to ensure ‘operational safety’ for the team
Powerwash Simulator FuturLab “will not continue to support” its VR version of PowerWash Simulator VR.
In a statement, FuturLab CEO Kirsty Rigden said that while the team “absolutely loves and believes in virtual reality,” it “cannot continue to provide support right now.”
“We found ourselves at a crossroads: we have a really great and kind VR team that was working on a platform that costs us more than it makes, and at the same time we have a list of positions that we wanted to fill on other projects.” This is stated in a statement by Rigden published on social networks.
The VR team has now been transferred to “other projects/roles”.

“While I would love to live in a world where we could support PowerWash Simulator on every platform in existence, I will always choose job security for my team. Every time,” concluded Rigden.
“While I know you must be very disappointed, I also know that if you were in my shoes, you would make the same decision.”
Following the festive bounty with December’s free PowerWash Simulator update, FuturLab recently announced the next release of paid DLC for squirt ’em up, this time focusing on Wensleydale’s premier Lancashire crooks, Wallace and Gromit. It doesn’t have a release date yet, but FuturLab says it will be released this year and “coming soon.”
