It looks like it’s a big week for Apple Arcade additions, as we clear out our portfolio and see some great (and unusual) additions to its catalog. I previously wrote about an updated version of the iconic JRPG Final Fantasy coming to the service, but now we’re going in the opposite direction with the action-packed racing game Rodeo Stampede+!
How to explain Rodeo Stampede? Well, it’s basically a rodeo and stampede. Okay, all jokes aside, in Rodeo Stampede you jump into a swashbuckling cavalcade of animals, jumping from creature to creature. Complete every rodeo, tame animals and build your own zoo in this thrilling ride full of animal danger.
And while Rodeo Stampede may begin in Savannah, it doesn’t stop there as you travel through time and space. Be it the Jurassic period, the underwater world or even mythological Greece! All this and the ability to customize your racer as you race through vibrant low-poly landscapes.
Ride ’em, cowboy
I think Rodeo Stampede is one of those releases that is perfect for Apple Arcade. It appears to be designed as a premium version with plenty of casual fun and a long-term progression system that will keep players coming back again and again. And while it may have a strange premise, it’s clear that it’s not something that relies solely on name and gimmick.
Despite this, this is older release. So while I’m sure fans will be excited to see another new addition, Rodeo Stampede’s age may work against it.
