Zerg Rush! Blizzard releases first cards from StarCraft x Hearthstone crossover mini-set
Hearthstone’s Coming next week is the “biggest mini-pack yet” that brings Blizzard’s legendary real-time strategy game StarCraft to the game with 49 new cards – four legendary, one epic, 20 rare and 24 common – divided into three factions you know and love: Zerg, Protoss and Terrans.
Each faction has five cards that can be played by all classes of that faction, as well as three cards for each class and, of course, one legendary hero card that will serve as a leader. Led by Sarah Kerrigan, the Zerg have the Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Hunter, and Warlock classes and excel at creating minions to crush their enemies.
Artanis leads the Protoss, who belong to the Druid, Mage, Priest and Rogue classes and specialize in powerful and expensive cards.
Jim Raynor leads a Terran force consisting of the Paladin, Shaman and Warrior classes, with special “starship synergies” that allow them to launch multiple starships each game.
Actually a blizzard it turned out that this crossover will appear soon back in November 2024, but now we get our first look at the maps. As expected, Zerg looks to be an extremely effective swarm archetype on the board. The Zergling minion will also benefit greatly from hand buff effects. Meanwhile, Protoss is a Mana cheat (unsurprisingly it contains the Druid and Rogue classes) with an emphasis on playing expensive minions that deal a lot of damage. Finally, Terrans are an all-rounder, with mech theming and new starship cards to play with.
Blizzard also announced a release date and pricing: Heroes of StarCraft will release on January 21st and will be available for $20 or 2,500 gold. Minikit for $80 or 12,000 gold. Full information is available on the website Hearthstone.blizzard.com..
