Learn more about Wordle
Wordle gives you six rows of five fields each day, and your job is to determine which five-letter word is hidden by removing or confirming the letters it contains.
Let’s start with a strong word for example, LEASH – something containing multiple vowels, common consonants, and non-repeating letters – is a good place to start. Once you press Enter, the fields will show you which letters you wrote correctly or incorrectly. If the square turns ⬛️, this means that there is no letter in the secret word at all. 🟨 means that the letter is in the word, but in the wrong position. 🟩 means you have the right letter in the right place.
Your second approach is to complete the initial word, using another “good” guess to cover all the common letters you missed last time, while also trying to avoid any letter that you now know is actually missing from today’s answer. Then all you have to do is use what you’ve learned to narrow down your guesses to the correct word. You have a total of six attempts, and you can only use real words (so no need to fill in the EEEEE fields to see if there is an E). Don’t forget that letters can also be repeated (for example: BOOKS).
