Switch 2 hands-on registration is open in Europe and you’ll get up to four hours of playtime.
Following yesterday’s highly anticipated Switch 2 announcement, Nintendo has now opened up registration for previously announced public hands-on gaming sessions, confirming that participants will have up to four hours of play time on the new console.
The Nintendo Switch 2 World Tour, as the company is calling the multi-month event, will run from April 4 through June. During this time, he will visit 15 cities on four continents – Europe, North America, Oceania and Asia, starting with Paris and New York.
And for those who want to attend and try out the new Nintendo console, registration is now available. Registration is currently open for most European sites – Paris, London, Milan, Berlin – with more sites to follow in Madrid, Amsterdam and other territories.
What’s perhaps most notable is the length of time visitors can spend with the Switch 2. Anyone looking to practice should select a 60-minute arrival window upon check-in, but actual gaming sessions officially last four hours. At least in Europe – data currently available for North American sites indicates significantly shorter gaming sessions lasting two and a half hours.
It’s worth reiterating that registration does not guarantee participation in Nintendo’s hands-on events, as tickets will be distributed based on a random drawing. However, you can register as a group, as long as everyone present has a Nintendo Account associated with the same family group.
As for what will be playable during each session, Nintendo hasn’t said yet, but it’s likely there will be a new Mario Kart given its prominence in this week’s Switch 2 reveal. We can expect more details about the console’s launch lineup during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct on April 2, but for now, here’s everything we know so far.
