Lego Fortnite Brick Life looks like a cute GTA Online

One of the biggest collaborations in gaming is set to get even bigger on December 12th with the release of Lego Fortnite Brick Life, which is very similar to Grand Craft Auto Online if its target audience were 6 year olds.

A short video released to coincide with Monday’s announcement depicts popular Fortnite characters like Banana Guy, Fish Man and Pink Bear Lady (maybe not their real names) hang out in a world built entirely out of LEGO. They race through crowded city streets on powerful neon motorcycles, pull off elaborate treasure heists, and decorate their dream homes and apartments with racks of Lego guitars. Banana Guy even trips… on a banana. Wild.

In your ad Fortnite Developer Epic Games described Lego Fortnite Brick Life as “an all-new social RPG where up to 32 players can live in the heart of a bustling city.”

“Players can explore vibrant areas of the city, customize their dream home, take on jobs, and connect with friends and other players via text chat,” Epic said. “Lego Fortnite Brick Life is an ever-evolving experience and will receive new content updates over time, including new jobs, resources and events.”

But it’s not all fun in the sun. Lego Fortnite Brick Life players will also be able to take on a variety of jobs to fund their luxurious lifestyle, from mundane-sounding courier and security guard to more glamorous professions such as “milk tea bobarista” and fortune teller.

When Lego Fortnite Brick Life releases later this week, it will be included in a new LEGO section. FortniteThe Discovery menu along with the previously released crossover, Survival mode, now called Lego Fortnite Odyssey. Most products will apparently be cross-compatible between the two variants, with support for “extra large builds” coming in the near future.
