The Asus ROG Ally with Z1 Extreme costs $500, which is its best price.
CES 2025 featured some exciting portable gaming PCs like the Lenovo Legion Go S, but most of them are still months away from launch. If you don’t want to wait to dive into the wonderful world of mobile PC gaming, you should know that one of the most attractive options is the lowest price. The Windows-based Asus ROG Ally with AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor costs $499.99 at Best Buy (regularly $649.99) and comes with a free Asus ROG Ally travel case, as well as a free month of Game Pass Ultimate. It is unknown how long this deal will last.
Part of the benefit is that it costs exactly the same as the Asus ROG Ally variant with the slower Z1 processor. The Z1 Extreme delivers higher frames per second (FPS) in all games, ranging from 10 FPS to nearly 40 FPS depending on the game. With increased performance, you’ll get more out of your ROG Ally display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of storage, you get a built-in 512GB SSD with the option to buy and add another if you open the back panel. That, or just pop in one of the many good ROG Ally microSD cards for a cheaper, simpler (but slower) alternative.
ROG Ally includes everything you need to get started, but part of the fun of owning a portable device is customizing it with accessories. We’ve handpicked must-have accessories for ROG Ally, including cases, screen protectors, analog grips, and more.
