Final Fantasy XIV housing demolition delayed due to Los Angeles wildfires

Numerous wildfires are raging in the Los Angeles area. Final fantasy 14 The team decided to delay the game’s automatic house demolition on North American servers to ensure that players affected by the disaster and therefore unable to log into the game would not lose their digital houses.

The auto-demolition counter was suspended for the Aether, Crystal, Dynamis, and Primal data centers on January 9 at 8:20 pm PT, and the developers plan to monitor the situation in Southern California for the foreseeable future before reactivating it. Under normal circumstances, Final fantasy 14 players lose housing after 45 days of not having access to it due to high demand for it within the community.

“From all of us to Final fantasy 14 Development and management team, our hearts go out to those affected by the mountain fires that occurred around Los Angeles in North America,” Square Enix said in its latest announcement. “We sincerely hope that recovery occurs quickly and that those of you who have been affected can join us in FF14 soon.”

The Los Angeles Times reported that at least 10 people were killed, more than 100,000 residents were forced to evacuate, 9,000 structures were destroyed and tens of thousands of acres burned as several large wildfires ripped through the area.
