The roadmap for Planet Coaster 2 has been outlined, bringing more rides and continued improvements in performance.
Frontier has detailed the update plan for Planet Coaster 2, with new features coming from February to May.
The sequel to the theme park simulator received its first major free update back in December, along with its first paid DLC.
The next update will be released in February and will bring new features such as special video billboards, special speakers, synchronized coasters and interchangeable coaster cars.
As for new rides, there will be new standard coasters, as well as the return of the Pathos III flat ride. Other changes will include improved guest navigation; ongoing improvements to guest experience, economics and management; and continuous improvements in stability and performance.
The third update is coming in a month and will allow guests to ditch the chutes (oops) and add round bottom chutes and an inflatable warp. Water attractions are a major part of the sequel, which Frontier continues to refine after release.
Other additions include the creation of career maps available in sandbox mode as starting layouts, additional merchandise stands, and another return trip.

Two more updates will take place in April and May, although they are still in development.
While an image of the roadmap has been released, Frontier noted that it is not comprehensive and the developer continues to investigate reports of crashes and errors. Each update will contain a full list of changes.
Finally, the developer is also hoping to bring back some themes from the original Planet Coaster to share in the future.
“Planet Coaster 2’s flexible creation tools are as intrusive as ever, but the fun comes up against a tedious user interface, dull control gameplay and noticeable content gaps that feel like cynical space for DLC,” says our Eurogamer Planet Coaster 2 review .
