Sticker Ride is a short and fun puzzle game where you have to dodge all sorts of traps. She’ll be here soon

  • Shortbread Games is back with a new upcoming release called Sticker Ride.
  • Avoid all sorts of deadly traps to smear the glue.
  • Time your movements correctly to avoid crossfire.

Stickers. They’re either the most annoying thing in the world or (if you’re like me) a great way to decorate an empty space. But don’t you hate it when buzz saws, flying knives and bombs try to stop you from applying bright glue? No? Well, the Ride sticker will allow you to make this dubious fantasy come true.

The Sticker Ride feature is simple: you push a sticker along a set path until it reaches the end and slams itself down. But between you and it stand all sorts of obstacles and traps that will cut this sticker to ribbons. Turn? While you move forward quickly, you move backwards much more slowly, so you’ll need to watch and time your movements precisely to avoid getting caught in countless deadly crossfires as you try to avoid certain death.

Of course, it’s not exactly gaming Shakespeare, but like the previous Packed release from Shortbread Games!? and others in this indie niche, it’s an intriguing idea that seems to be executed well. The Ride sticker is scheduled to release on February 6th for iOS.

Stick it on

The Ride sticker is currently in the early stages of pre-launch, and the folks at Shortbread Games reached out to us with an early trailer and a few screenshots. As I wrote above, this is part of that indie niche of mobile releases that are relatively short and sweet, but I think they’re worth a look for that alone.

Often I think we can be under the impression that more is better, but Shortbread and the likes harken back to the days when experimentation was the king of mobile. Does this mean that they will face a serious blow in the future? Not necessarily. But should they do this? I wouldn’t say so, either way they have an interesting puzzle that’s worth checking out.
