Crashlands 2 brings sci-fi survival RPG to mobile devices and beyond, new release date announced

One of the underrated mobile classics of the past few years is finally getting a sequel, with a release date now announced. Crashlands 2 is in for a bumpy landing on April 10, offering even more humorous survival scenes as you step back into your comfy purple Flux Dabes.

First of all, what are Crashlands? Well, throw some Starbound and Don’t Starve in a blender and you’ll get something very similar. In this isometric survival RPG, you play as space trucker Flux Dabes, who returns to the planet Woanop in an attempt to recover from a case of “sky burnout.”

As you might have guessed, things don’t go according to plan and you’re soon stranded on the planet’s surface again. You will need to create weapons and gadgets, build your own house and survive on a living planet that reacts to your every move, even the stupidest one.

Crashlands 2 looks very much like a remastered version of the original, both in terms of graphics and gameplay. You’ll have both survival RPG elements and a signature huge cast of characters to meet and interact with; including many familiar faces from the first Crashlands.

To top it all off, not only is it a living world full of flora and fauna to evade or destroy, and a story that will help you figure out what exactly made you crash-land (pun intended) on the surface this time, but also various other features like collectible pets and you have quite a large package of content to enjoy.

The best? Not only will Crashlands 2 boast cross-progression so you can build your home away from home on the go, but it will also launch simultaneously on all platforms!
